Zack Snyderhas been keeping a low profile for the last several months and prefers to silently throw stones via social media. Snyder left (or was fired from) theJustice Leaguemovie back in May andJoss Whedoncame in to finish the job. The movie came out, tanked, and DC fans started crying for Snyder’s original cut, which may or may not actually exist. Fans have started petitions to see the cut, which Zack Snyder has liked, numerous times. And now, he’s taken to social media to like a post that insinuates that Joss Whedon leavingBatgirlis a good thing.

Zack Snyder’sMan of SteelandBatman v Supermanare incredibly divisive amongst DCEU fans, but even the fans who were not satisfied with those two movies have taken the director’s side and demanded that his original cut ofJustice Leaguesee the light of day. There has been more than a little speculation that Joss Whedondid a lot morethan just some minor reshoots and several, including Snyder’s son, believe that Whedon and Warner Bros. ruined the movie. So it’s more than a little interesting to see Zack Snyder pop up on social media to like a post about Joss Whedon leaving theBatgirlmovie.

Zack Snyder super fan and creator of the Snyder Cut website, Fiona Zheng, shared a picture from her Vero social media account of Snyder liking a post that she put up. Zheng posted an article that calls Joss Whedon’sdeparturefromBatgirlas a setback, but she takes another angle. Instead, she says, “For today, the only bad news is these media/press still think Whedon out was bad to DCEU!” In addition to Zack Snyder liking the post, DC Films photographer Clay Enos, who’s also a friend of Snyder’s, liked the post as well. It’s even being reported that Enos posted Green Day’s “Good Riddance” on social media after learning of Joss Whedon’s departure.

When it was announced that Joss Whedon was coming in to take over for Zack Snyder, it was reported as if it was already well-known that he wasgoing to step in, regardless of if Snyder left or not. Many saw this as fishy, and it has since been rumored that Snyder didn’t leave. Instead, several believe that the director was fired fromJustice Leagueafter showing off his initial cut of the movie. Funnily enough, there are also rumors swirling that Whedon was fired fromBatgirland that he did not voluntarily step down.

This is all speculation at this point in time, but Zack Snyder sure does pop up in the most interesting places to “like” certain social media posts. Regardless, Warner Bros. and DC Films are looking to putJustice Leaguebehind them and start fresh, which may be another reason that Joss Whedon stepped down fromBatgirl.
