In Arrakis, there’s a lot of desert landscape that you have to travel across while playingDune: Awakening. Luckily, you may unlock a fast travel system that lets you move to places you’ve visited from one of three locations. It’s not a great fast travel system, especially when you compare it to some games that let you go almost anywhere, or at least let you fast travel to every point of interest. However, it’s still better than having no fast travel system at all.

Dune is hot right now, and Funcom took to explain more about their Survival MMO game Dune: Awakening with a new trailer and details
In Dune: Awakening, you unlock fast travel rather naturally, but it’seasy to completely miss that you’ve unlocked itbecause it isn’t exactly announced to you while you’re working through the early set of main quests.

How to Unlock Fast Travel
During the “A Touch of Civilization” quest, you have an objective that sends you toGriffin’s Reach Tradepost for the first timeso you can learn about contracts. When you visit the tradepost, you actually unlock fast travel. However, nothing tells you that it’s been unlocked, so it’s possible to leave the post without realizing that you have this new tool available.
How to Use Fast Travel
To use fast travel, you need tospeak with the ornithopter pilot. The first one you find is in Griffin’s Reach Tradepost. When you speak with a pilot, you have the option to say that you want to fly somewhere, which brings up the list of available locations. The part that’s confusing is that you have to go to a tradepost to access fast travel, but then you can pick one of three listed locations. When you pick a location, you then open up another choice which lets you fast travel to important areas that you’ve unlocked.
It would be great to have the fast travel system receive an update that makes it a little more accessible and a bit less confusing. But in the meantime, you’ll need to rely on tradeposts to travel, and you’ll likely be using the Hagga Basin travel location to return to the key areas you’ve already unlocked. Otherwise, you have the option to speed up travel a little bit by building and using vehicles in Dune: Awakening.
