Decent for Early Game
First off, this weapon is a Tier 2 Magic Battlestaff. So it’s basically it’s for those who’ve moved past the very early game but aren’t quite ready for the top-tier weapons. If you’re still getting your feet wet in the game, it’s a reliable, solid choice, but it won’t necessarily carry you through the entire game.
The Damage Multiplier of 1.9 Rune Damage is what makes the Ash Battlestaff really cool. where things start getting interesting. Essentially, it means that any spell you cast with the Ash Battlestaff will deal 90% more damage than it would with a basic rune. If a spell normally does 100 damage, with the staff, it’ll deal 190. It’s a solid boost that makes your spells hit harder.
5Grieving Moon Staff
Decent Power for Mid-Game
The Grieving Moon Staff offers a 2.6 Rune Damage boost, which means your weapon deals 160% more damage than it would with a base rune. That means it’s not as powerful as the Oak Battlestaff, but it’s no slouch either.

One of your initial challenges is to awaken and rescue the Blacksmith, a pivotal character whose crafting recipes demand the elusive Metal Scraps.
When it comes to crafting this weapon, you’ll need toget Antlers, Animal Bones, and Oak Logs. Once you’ve got all that, you’ll use the Smithing Forge to combine them and create the staff. Just make sure your crafting skills are up to par, or you might run into some issues when trying to put it all together.
4Oak Battlestaff
More Powerful Than the Ash Battlestaff
As a Tier 3 weapon, the Oak Battlestaff is built for players who are past the basics but not yet deep into the high-level content. You’ll want this if you’re at that sweet spot where you’re facing tougher challenges but still need something that gets the job done without being over-the-top.
When it comes to damage multiplier, the Oak Battlestaff has a solid 2.8 Rune Damage. This means your shots get a pretty big damage boost (180% more damage to be exact). Its Attack Combo of 4 lets you chain together up to four attacks in a row. This is nice because it means you’re not just landing one hit and waiting around. Instead, you may lay into enemies with a series of quick, successive hits.
3Blightwood Battlestaff
Strong Enough for Tough Enemies, But Not for the Final Stretch
When it comes to damage capability, the Blightwood Battlestaff sits somewhere between the Staff of Light and the Draconic Staff. So it’s for those who are already past the early grind but not quite at the final stretch.
To craft the Blightwood Battlestaff, you need toget 6 Wild Anima, 3 Swamp Thread, 4 Vault Shards, and 12 Blightwood. A funny thing I noticed is that you will need more Blightwood to make Staff of Light than the actual Blightwood Battlestaff. But then, that’s probably why the Staff of Light is so powerful.
2Draconic Staff
Just as Powerful as the Blightwood Battlestaff, But Slightly Easier to Craft
The Draconic Staff is not your starter stick, but also not the ultimate weapon. I’d say it’s just as powerful as the Blightwood Battlestaff, but easier to craft. Crafting it is pretty straightforward once you’ve gotmaterials like Granite, 4 Jade, 4 Vault Shards, and 10 Iron Bars.

Like all magic weapons, the Draconic Staff also lets you fire off four spells in a row. That’s useful if you’re in a situation where you really don’t want the enemy to recover between hits. All in all, the Draconic Staff is dependable and does its job well.
1Staff of Light
A Battlestaff for When the Going Gets Tough
Making the Staff of Light is a bit more complex than everything we’ve mentioned up to this point, but it’s totally worth it. You’ll need to fetch a vault core, 4 Sapphire, 8 Wild Anima, 12 Vault Shards, and 16 Blightwood.
What really stands out for the Staff of Light is the 4.5 Rune Damage multiplier. When you equip the Staff of Light, you’re essentially increasing your damage by 350%. So, it’s a big upgrade that will really help when you’re going up against tougher enemies. If you’re in the endgame, this staff is going to serve you well.
