Sakamoto Dayshas introduced a number of skilled assassins from the manga. Although all of them are strong, they are not anywhere close to an urban legend who leaves everyone behind in the dust.

None of the assassins introduced are more terrifying than the legendary Takamura. Taro Sakamoto is the namesake assassin whose skills and feats are told as stories in the underworld. Both of these fighters have absurdly high combat skills, yet one is a true blue assassin, and another is a peak-level swordsman.
Prime Sakamoto isan assassin who defies limits
Before retiring, Taro Sakamoto was the most feared assassin in the underworld. Even after retiring to a peaceful family life, anddespite his seemingly harmless appearance, his skills remain unparalleled. With the many encounters that he has been in, it is clear that Sakamoto’s combat prowess is close to unrivaled.
The author himself starts each volume with the phrase, “There once was an unmatched assassin named Taro Sakamoto…” meaninghe was exceptional and unrivaled when he was in his prime.

This is not to say that he has lost out on his abilities, his true prowess has not yet been unveiled. All of the assassins know thatSakamoto is not someone to cross or mess with.
‘Sakamoto Days’ Is Definitely Brave With Its Bold Choice, but Yuto Suzuki Still Can’t Escape the Shonen Curse With Lu
Sakamoto’s specialty is his adaptability and his combat prowess by using his environment. He reads his opponents, identifies their weaknesses, and follows through with them with exceptional accuracy.
Takamura is an invincible swordsman
Takamura is a living legend whose strength is so vast he is thought to be a mythical entity. He is a killing machine with no equal; there is no record of him having lost. Due to his advanced age, he does not actively get into trouble, but when provoked, he cuts his opponents into smithereens.
His battle against Gaku showcased just how overwhelming his power is—he effortlessly dismembered him, whereas if it was Sakamoto, it would take a bit more effort.

Takamura’s combat instincts are extremely refined and experienced. His true potential has never been revealed, but Sakamoto himself has said that even when he was in the order, Takamura was stronger than him. Takamura’s durability and speed are also insane, allowing him to tackle any opponent and finish them within the fastest time possible.
In the end, the victor between Sakamoto, with his adaptability and combat senses and the terrifying swordsman would be Takamura. Takamura doesn’t need to consider complexities; he only needs to draw his sword.

Step Back ‘Demon Slayer,’ ‘Sakamoto Days’ Latest Achievement Is Exactly Why Fans Shouldn’t Judge an Anime Based on Animation Alone
Sakamoto doesn’t rely on brute force alone; he can outthink his opponents and use his environment to survive. The question is whether Takamura would give Sakamoto an opportunity to think or adapt, leading to him defeating Sakamoto.
