Description

Depending on what mask emerges, a different attack will occur.
Visages attack with the Determination Mask.
A three-hit combo that has the rhythm ofslow > jump > slow.
Visages tries to build Shields with the Peace Mask.
Four-hit combo where a mask will fly down and hit the party with a pattern of all normal rates. If it successfully hits, it will gain one shield.
Visages attacks with the Doubt Mask.
A five-hit combo that’s difficult to parry. Each attack, especially the final one, has a delay on attack with each hit being on theslowside. The fourth attack is much quicker than the rest, though.
Visages attacks with the Anxiety Mask.
This only hits twice, with the second strike hitting much quicker than the first. If you miss, characters will get inflicted with Exhaust and potentially Freeze.
Visages tries to heal with the Confidence Mask.
This will only hit once, but if it succeeds, it will heal the mirror by a small amount.
Visages sacrifices its crumbling Masks for an ultimate attack.
Once Visages runs out of mask, he will begin to start casting this attack. Even if this hits, this will only bring you down to 1 HP. This also has a chance to Freeze, but it doesn’t matter as it concludes the fight.
Visages can be a deceptively difficult boss due to its high combo-centric attack patterns. Each mask that it summons will come with its own unique challenges, some Exhausting the party, while others Freezing party members. The Anxiety Mask can be the most dangerous one because of this, inflicting those exact debuffs on unsuccessful parries or dodges.
The Peace Mask can be annoying to deal with at first, but its pattern is far easier than the rest, helping punish the boss in the end. The Doubt Mask will no doubt trip some players up due to its slow nature, with the fourth hit coming much quicker than the rest, but all you really need to do is watch out for the sound cue to get a good grasp of when to dodge.
In the end, the Visages will run out of masks and sacrifice himself with an Ultimate Attack. This is an attack that is meant to be struck by as it will deal almost lethal damage, but not quite. It will leave everyone with one HP and move us into the real fight against the Mask Keeper.
