Ubisoft Forward Coming to Summer Game Fest But Not E3

Following the news of the return of Summer Game Fest 2023, Geoff Keighley shared Ubisoft Forward would be part of the games conference. This doesn’t look good for E3 as they have already lost major companies such asNintendo, Sony and Microsoftwho have all chosen to host their own showcases around the same time.

Previously Ubisoft announced they would be taking part in the E3 after the event’s hiatus. However, looks to be having their Ubisoft Forward at Summer Game Fest instead.

The showcase will take place on June 12th, teased to have the “latest game updates, news, and reveals”. As for what we’ll be seeing, hopefully more of theAssassin’s Creed franchisewhich was previously revealed to have a few projects on the go. Currently Ubisoft are developing the mainline title Mirage set in the city of Baghdad at the start of its Golden Ages. Then there is Codename Jade which will be set in Ancient China. Codename Red which will be set in feudal Japan. Then finally, Codename Hexe taking a more eerie direction, based on witchcraft in 16th century Europe.

Ubisoft Singapore on the other hand is developing a pirate adventure title Skull and Bones, which is set to release sometime between early 2023-24. We could be seeing more of the PVE/PVP title during their showcase. Then there is the elusiveBeyond Good and Evil 2which is still in development but has been a bit quiet on the news front.
