This week was the 9th New York Video Game Awards held in Manhattan. Taking home the Game of the Year award this year went The Outer Worlds.
The Outer Worlds Receives Game of the Year at The New York Video Game Awards 2020
While it’s already 2020, the award season hasn’t quite finish, with more ceremonies still to commemorate the standout games of last year. The New York Video Game Awards took place this week, withThe Outer Worldstaking theBig Apple Game of the Year award. Other notable wins went toDisco Elysiumfor Off Broadway Award for Best Indie Game andResident Evil 2gaining the Freedom Tower Award for Best Remake. This is quite different of how The Game Awards ended up, withSekiro Shadows Die Twicetaking Game of The Year instead. But Disco Elysium also scooped up best Independent Game and RPG there too.
