‘Gen V’ Season 1 Has A 97% on Rotten Tomatoes

Being a spinoff ofThe BoysmeansGen Vhad some big shoes to fill, and the series had no problem doing so. Starring Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau,Chance Perdomo as Andre Anderson, and Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer/ Little Cricket, follows the young adult superheroes at Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. Their moral boundaries are tested as they compete for the top rank and an opportunity to join The Seven, Vought International’s elite superhero team. Just by the show’s premierealone, you may tell season 1 was full of action and drama, which is why its Rotten Tomatoes score is nearly perfect. Critic Tanzim Pardiwalla of Filmfare’s review applauded the show’s well-written story. “Apart from the explosive action and bucket loads of gore, the show also has some great character arcs and a well-written story,” they wrote. Another critic, Katie Baker ofThe Ringer, wrote, “Gen V— likeThe Boys— traffics proudly in the creation of out-of-this-world, hyper-fictional, larger-than-life characters and stories.”
