Invoker Tempest Flurry Overview

This build revolves around hitting enemies in semi-melee range using Tempest Flurry as the main skill. You have a few other skills that help scale your damage, such as Tempest Bell and Charged Staff, for when you face off against unique map bosses that are harder to kill.

You’ll then need another like Reaper’s Invocation to replenish Power Charges and activate Charged Staff. So, overall, you’re using Tempest Flurry as the main skill and then mix in these other skills to scale your damage even further.

Using this build, you can effortlessly clear single-target encounters and clear maps at a decent speed. The only downside to the build is its complexity, as you will need to learn to use multiple buttons and how to transition from the leveling setup to the endgame setup.

Invoker Tempest Flurry Passive Skill Tree

Monk is one of the most hyped classes in Path of Exile 2. Although it’s a melee class, it generates tons of damage to bosses. It may not be the best class to clear mobs, but it is undoubtedly a boss killer. You want to path through the ‘Flow Like Water’ node and get the attack damage nodes early, so even your normal attack would be helpful if you don’t have the Tempest Flurry yet.

Once you get Tempest Bell, immediately add Magnified Effect and Rage support gems. Magnified Effect is for clearing mobs, and Rage is for additional damage to mobs and bosses. The next important node will be the Moment of Truth and Blinding Strike for more damage and Siphon for mana sustain.

You will path down for easier and faster campaign progression, but you willrespec several of your skill pointslater in the endgame. So ensure to save at least 150,000 gold for this.

Things will get interesting and fun once you get Tempest Flurry. Equip this skill gem with Primal Armament for more Elemental Damage and Inspiration to reduce mana cost when spamming this skill on mobs and bosses.

The Siphon is important as you will run out of mana fast when spamming Tempest Flurry. If this is insufficient to sustain mana, you might need some equipment with ‘mana on kill.’ You want to get Killer Instinct and Tenfold Attacks, as this will boost your damage, whether a normal attack or Tempest Flurry.

The next important node you’ll need is Mental Toughness, which can further help to sustain mana.

This can, however, make you feel squishy. That’s when you should path to ‘Enhanced Reflexes’ and Beastial Skin. These nodes will help, but if you want more damage, you can path to ‘Falcon Technique.’ You will then need to reach the nodes Martial Artistry, One with the Stor, and Whirling Assault, which will greatly boost your damage.

Next, you can path to Reaching Strike for more damage or go directly for Escape Velocity. This will depend on how your character is progressing. Are you dying a lot, or do you need more damage? Path to whichever stats you are in dire need of.

How to Play the Invoker Tempest Flurry Build

How to Gain Power Charges with the Tempest Flurry Build

We have three ways of generating Power Charges:

You will easily wipe out mobs with this build, especially bosses. But the best ‘combo’ for this build is dropping Tempest Bell when hitting the bell with Tempest Flurry (buffed by Charged Staff). It should deal good damage even if you don’t have Power Charges to activate Charged Staff and Tempest Flurry with Tempest Bell.

Invoker Tempest Flurry Endgame Build in Path of Exile 2

In the endgame, once you have at least 150 Spirit (100 Spirit from the campaign and 50 from the body armor based on your Ascendancy), you can now have the best way to gain a Power Charge, and that is through Reaper’s Invocation with Profane Ritual, Impetus, and Energy Retention support gems.

You will be able to gain Power Charge by simply killing mobs. By activating Reaper’s Invocation, you will instantly gain a Power Charge if you have enough Energy to use the skill. The skill will light up when it’s useable, and you can use it when you have corpses around you.

The same combo mentioned previously applies. This mechanic can easily generate Power Charges while destroying mobs and bosses.

Tempest Flurry Endgame Gem and Gear Changes

For the gear, search for a body armor piece with at least 400 Evasion and 200 Energy Shield. This will provide approximately ~50 Spirit, giving you a total of 150 Spirit (100 from the campaign and 50 from the Body Armour based on the Ascendancy Lead me through Grace).

You can now equip all the Buffs you need for the build (Ghost Dance, Wind Dance, Reaper’s Invocation, and Herald of Thunder. You can add a Cannibalism support gem for life sustain if you have enough Spirit. Cannibalism takes 15 Spirit, so buy more body armor than the minimum requirement.

Tempest Flurry Endgame Passive Skill Changes

You will need to respec many passive skills at this phase, so ensure you have set asideat least 150,000 gold. You will need to get the nodes that will increase your chances of getting Power Charges and your maximum Power Charges, so take the nodes Overflowing Power and the Power Within. This will give you a longer uptime of not just Power Charges but also Charged Staff, which is your main skill for killing mobs and bosses.

You’ll remove passive skill points from Tenfold Attacks, Mental Toughness, Blinding Strike, and Killer Instinct, which are notable passive skill clusters. This line of passive skill points is located east of the skill tree (near the middle), so removing this path completely will give you many passive skill points.

And there we have it, that’s about all there is to say about the Tempest Flurry Build. I hope you enjoyed, and if you want more, why not check out ourClasses Tier List for Path of Exile 2, and see if you agree with me?
