The next edition of Summer Game Fest will take place in June, spanning four days filled with announcements and previews of upcoming releases.

Summer Game Fest 2025 Will Take Place in Early June

True to its annual December appointment, The Game Awards—hosted by the inimitable Geoff Keighley—once again stood out as the year’s biggest event, thanks to the major reveals showcased.

Elden Ring: Nightreign, Naughty Dog’s new game, and the first trailer for The Witcher IV were some of the surprises that made this one of the best editions yet.

Now, Keighley aims to break audience records again with his next big festival: Summer Game Fest 2025, which has just announced its official dates.

The official Summer Game Fest account has revealed that the next edition will be held from June 6 to June 30, 2025.

Additionally, as a business-oriented feature, Summer Game Fest will include a new specialized event with panels and conferences held in parallel.

As is tradition, following the grand gala on June 6, the Play Days will take place—days where studios provide a more in-depth look at their new games.

These “Play Days” include live demonstrations and additional previews, capitalizing on the excitement generated by the Summer Game Fest 2025 trailers.

A showcase that Geoff Keighley promises will be packed with “spectacular announcements, new games, and many surprises.”

While we still miss the traditional E3, Summer Game Fest has firmly established itself since its debut in 2020.

The 2024 edition introduced games like LEGO Horizon Adventures, new horror titles from Blumhouse Games, and the announcement of the physical edition of Alan Wake 2, along with its DLC.

The event wrapped up with previews of Monster Hunter Wilds, Phantom Blade Zero, and the unique Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.

Keighley is in for a busy summer, as just two months later, on August 19, he will host Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live—before immediately shifting focus to preparing the next edition of The Game Awards.
