TheStagfather Shrinesare scattered throughout the three main regions inTainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, and can be challenged to receive buffs and rewards from the Stagfather. Each shrine hosts the same hunting challenge of taking down three Wyrddeer every twenty seconds or so. Completing these trials will reward the player with special items for meals, alchemy, and crafting, along with unique recipes upon first-time completion. This guide serves to locate all theStagfather shrineswithin the three main regions of the game, along with tips on how to complete the hunting trials. Keep in mind that if you fail a shrine, you may rest at a bonfire for a day or so before challenging the shrine again. Tips For The Hunt
Horns Of The South
Stagfather Shrine #1
This shrine is located between the two waypoints for theAbandoned Villageand theKing’s Road. This is also the location of the quest, where you hunt down aWyrddeer:Hunt for Wyrddeer. At the same time, you can achieve thePrey of the Wyrdnessachievement if you sleep at a bonfire and wake up during the Wyrdness hours beside the shrine. Hunt down the Wyrddeer for your side quest first, rest until morning, then begin your trial with theStagfather.
Stagfather Shrine #2
This shrine is located just past theAbandoned Villagewaypoint and beyond the river. Highwaymen and bandits frequent the area, so make sure you clear out the area before you take on the trial.
Stagfather Shrine #3
This shrine is located below theDeserted SettlementWaypoint and is located near theAbandoned Strongholdjust above the crest of the hill rise. So long as you haven’t progressed too far in the story whereGalahadhas moved in, you should be able to get to the shrine with no issue aside from a few bandits nearby.

This shrine is located beside theMourning Harpistand the waypoint for theCuanacht Region, right next to one of the main gates from theHorns of the South Region.you may find the shrine right before theStone Face Passage,just before the swampland. This shrine is located in the swampland area beside the Swamps waypoint and nearby the Lover’s Hollow, the location of a side quest:Change of Heart, and leads intoThe Heart That Defies. A very convenient shrine that gives the player more than enough to work with and an easy area to teleport back to prepare beforehand.
This shrine is located past a large lake and the dungeon of theAbyss of Sagremor, a lengthy questline where you can determine the fate of a kingdom lost to time and ages. Use theFarmlands’waypoint, then make your way north past theCuanacht Waterworksand swim across the lake over to the shrine.
Forlorn Swords
This shrine is found directly north of theForlorn Swords Main Gate. Once you enter the gate, head north and ignore all forks in the road that lead you away and off the path. You’ll come across the shrine beside a low-rise hill.
This shrine is located north of theAbandoned Mine Caveand south of theSveinn Village. Use theSveinn Villagewaypoint and head south out of the mountain area and away from the forest, where you’ll find the shrine at the fork in the road. Do not come here during the Wyrd hours, as the area is filled with Wights and theFore Armed Knightlikes to spawn around here.
The final shrine is located near theUlfr Villageand right outside theOld Wyrdstone Mine. This area has a few minor enemies, likeRemor, which likes to jump around out of reach of most weapons and spells. Once you complete this shrine, you will be rewarded with thePilgrim of the Wildsachievement.
