Capcomhas announced a second open beta for its highly anticipatedMonster Hunter Wilds, which will be available a few weeks before its official release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series on February 28.
Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test 2
Users on these three platforms will be able to test their skills in the wild world fromFebruary 6 at 7:00 p.m. PT / 10:00 p.m. ET to February 9 at 6:59 p.m. PT / 9:59 p.m. ET, and again fromFebruary 13 at 7:00 p.m. PT / 10:00 p.m. ET to February 16 at 6:59 p.m. PT / 9:59 p.m. ET, as announced by the company.
The beta will include all the content from the first beta, with the added opportunity to hunt aGypceros. Characters created during the first beta can be used in this second beta, and participants will also receive special rewards redeemable in the full game, such as a decorative charm for your weapon,Seikret(the mounts in Wilds), and a pack of items to make your journey a little easier in this new adventure.

Open Beta Test 2: Rewards
Participating in Open Beta Test 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds is going to unlock some rewards for the live version of the game.
You’ll be able to claim a cute little charm to decorate your weapon with as well as receive an item pack with as-yet undisclosed contents – probably nothing too fancy, but helpful in boosting your start after launch.

Note that you need to play the beta test on the same platform as the release version of the game to be eligible for claiming your rewards, so please plan accordingly.
Optimizations Won’t Be Present in the Beta
“The team is working to complete the development. This includes various adjustments and improvements, but we hope you understand that these optimizations won’t be ready for the second beta,” said producerRyozo Tsujimotoin the video announcing the test.
The first beta ofMonster Hunter Wildsleft a good impression with its gameplay, but one of the most criticized aspects was the image quality and performance, which fell below the usual standards for other titles on theRE Engine. Shortly afterward, technical improvements and refinements were announced. Additionally, the game will take advantage of thePS5 Pro, although the exact improvements over the standard PS5 model are still unknown.
