After he unboxed the Switch 2 and compared it with the original console, Brownlee jumped into playing Mario Kart World in tabletop mode with the Joy-Con 2’s detached from the screen.

Seconds later, he shared his thoughts about the new, bigger controllers. “That is fun,” he said. “These Joy-Cons are so much better than the old ones.”

He went on to try playing the game with just one of the Joy-Cons, something you would do if you were playing with another person.

“I feel like these new Joy-Cons are almost as much of an upgrade as the new screen,” he said. “Just having these huge new buttons, the whole thing being bigger, ergonomically it’s better, the haptics are better. It is much better to game on an individual controller with the new ones.”
