Today Capcom has announced that Year 2 for Street Fighter 6 is officially live. This includes the first DLC character M. Bison, who was announced previously. The game is playable on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam now. M. Bison is playable on all three game modes with players able to jump immediately into Fighting Ground to start battle. Those who own or purchase Year 2 Character/Ultimate Pass will have M. Bison available. He can be purchased individually with 350 Fighter Coins that includes Outfit 1 and Colors 1 & 2. Year 2 will also bring Elena, Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui as playable characters later on.
Additional Year 2 Features
Not only is a new character playable, other updates have been added. Players can now select to play specific sounds from past Street Fighter titles when the pre-match challenger appears. The ability to purchase previous music from the series' history has previously been added, so players can add both the music and the specific sounds now. Replays can be adjusted to 1.1x and 1.2x speed along with the option to “Rewind Frame”, which is only usable when paused.
During actual gameplay, the Critical Art now receives a new notification via the health bar flashing when available. A Training Mode icon has also been added to the Main Menu for easier access. Finally, Versus Mode will allow players to reset the win/loss record for offline matches and tournaments via the “Change Match Settings” option.
Street Fighter 6 has sold more than three million units since its launch a year ago. The game has added four new characters since launch including longtime series mainstay Akuma. Street Fighter 6 will also be a part of the stage in July at Evo 2024. Viewers can look forward to M. Bison and Akuma being a part of this tournament. Players can also expect Master Missiosn for M. Bison in World Tour, his story added to Arcade Mode and two outfits with colors 3-10 in the Shop.

The Standard Edition of the game retails for $59.99, the Deluxe Edition retails for $84.99 and includes the Year 1 Character Pass, and the Ultimate Edition retails for $104.99 and includes the Year 1 Ultimate Pass. The Year 2 Character Pass is available separately for $29.99 and the Year 2 Ultimate Pass is available for $49.99.
