Fans were really surprised when Netflix made a super successful live-actionOne Pieceseries. AdaptingOne Pieceseemed impossible because of the complexity of manga/anime, but they did it amazingly well!

Considering everything, it seemed very obvious that the show would get a second season. The creators planned for it from the start, even before they knew it would be successful.

But fans will have to wait a bit because the next season of the show is still being worked on. The creator, Eiichiro Oda, is getting the story ready, and they also need to create new locations since the main characters will have new adventures. So, it’s going to take some time before it’s ready for fans to watch.

However, the scripting ofOne PieceSeason 2 is already completed, but fans are worried about a big issue with making more seasons of the series, an issue that has already been faced by another hit Netflix showStranger Things.

Considering the big narrative ofOne Piecemanga and anime, the first season barely skimmed the surface. It needs more than just a couple of seasons, maybe even more than five, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to adapt it because the story would left incomplete. In an interview withDeadline, the producers of the series revealed that they want six seasons at least.

If it takes two years to make each season of the show, and there are six seasons planned, it would take a total of 12 years to finish all the seasons. During this time, some of the actors who played the main characters, the Straw Hats, would get closer to the age of 40.

Chopper

This could be a big issue because Inaki Godoy, who plays the main character Monkey D. Luffy in the show, is only twenty years old. Godoy was only 18 years old when he got the role of Luffy in the live-action series and will be over thirty in season six.

The upcoming live-action series might face a challenge in replicating the slow timeline of anime, as it would be difficult to maintain the age and appearance of the actors.

Introduction of New Character in Netflix’sOne PieceSeason 2

The first season ofOne Piececovered a lot of stories, adapting 100 chapters in just eight episodes. In Season Two, they will likely continue the story up to Chapter 218.

In this part of the story, Luffy and his friends visit an island of giants, look for a new crew member who’s a doctor, and fight against a group of bounty hunters causing trouble in the desert nation of Arabasta.

This arc is considered one of the best inOne Pieceand sets the stage for their ongoing journey. Plus, there’s a cute talking reindeer character named Chopper.

Adding Chopper to the second season of the live-actionOne Pieceseries is a big challenge for Netflix and Tomorrow Studios. Season 2 will bring in many important characters, including the popular Chopper and Smoker, who were glimpsed at the end of season one.
