Lost Ark released its latest trailer titled The Battle for the Throne of Chaos. This featured many of the incoming additions being introduced for the April Content Update.
Lost Ark and The Battle for the Throne of Chaos Trailer Showcases April Content Update
The time of rest is over for theheroes of Arkesia. Gone are the times they could freely dance the Lailai in Punika, soaking in the sun and seas without a care in the world. Demons have started amassing in Southern Vern. Once a peaceful region, South Vern is now a vestige of chaos and strife.
The demons and our other enemies have started securing what is called the Throne of Chaos. It is this seat of power that links the world of Arkesia and the realm of Petrania. Thus it will be up to the Sidereals, their armies, as well as our heroes to stop the link, close the gate, and get rid of Chaos. Finding the few remaining Lost Arks will have to wait.

Welcome to the Battle for the Throne of Chaos!
Arriving at South Vern
Warning: Minor Spoilers Ahead!
South Vern will be the first major region being added to the Western release ofLost Ark. Though this area lacks a major city like Yorn, Feiton, and Punika, there will still be much to do here.
The Heroes of Arkesia will be able to follow through with the warnings and demon invasions started in theKadan storylinethat was introduced back in March. The player was tasked to find the Last Guardian Slayer as Nineveh sensed a new threat emerging, and foresaw that help would be needed.

The Battle for Vern
To further showcase Lost Ark’s South Vern storyline was a full trailer. While there was little story revealed, we did find out that the “Chaos is too much”. On a more serious note, we are treated to a lot of well-made cinematic cuts that continue the tension.
Multiple large-scale battles are seen being fought all throughout the trailer. Players are also treated to the confirmation of the return of many familiar faces. This includes both friend and foe.

After chasing after and assisting them all throughout the main campaign, we finally get to see all the Sidereals team-up. Much like an Avengers moment, it is glorious to see the likes of Nineveh, Thirain, Queen Azeena, and Wei battle against hordes of demons with the player character.
We also see the return of the Legion Commanders. We get the reintroduction of Thaemine, Akkan, Brelshaza, and Vykas. They are standing tall and are as imposing as ever. Their presence is definitely a sign of challenging times ahead. Though not a Demon Commander, Kharmine is also present and stalking around the battlefield as usual.

Notably absent are both Kakul-Saydon and Valtan. The first is still probably licking his wounds after the battle with Albion and the player character. Valtan on the other hand is most likely preparing for the introduction of his ownLegion Commander raid coming in May(hopefully).
Introducing the Glaivier
With the story all said and done, let’s get to what people are most excited about! Specifically, the introduction of one of the8 highly anticipated new classes: the Glaivier.
She is one of the five advanced classes of theMartial Artist(the others being theScrapper,Striker,SoulfistandWardancer).

The Stance System
Wielding both spear and glaive, the Glaivier seamlessly dances across the battlefield. She makes use of large sweeping attacks or precise and direct hits, depending on the situation. As such, she will have access to two stances that specialize in each style: Flurry and Focus.
Balance is the key to the Glaivier. Using skills while in one stance will increase her speciality meter. If the meter is full, swapping from one stance to another will grant her powerful Attack Speed, Damage, and Crit buffs.
Graivier Engravings and Notable Skills
Like all other classes in Lost Ark, the Glaivier will have access to two ClassEngravingsthat drastically change her playstyle.
The first is Pinnacle, which just enhances the Glaivier’s default stance swapping style. This merely improves the buffs that she gains when swapping stances.
On the other hand, Control removes stances entirely, making the Glaivier focus purely on the Flurry set of attacks. Control will greatly enhance the damage of Flurry skills, by up to 36% at level 3.
Glaiviers will get a full suite of visually striking and powerful skills, much like other classes. Some of the notable ones are Starfall Pounce, Wheel of Blades, Thrust of Destruction, and 4-Headed Dragon.
The Feiton Powerpass
Personally, I can’t wait to try out the Glaivier. Good thing Amazon and Smilegate are providing Lost Ark players with a Feiton Powerpass. This pass will allow folks to skip through most of the story, Tier 1, and early Tier 2 content. It will drop them right in the middle of Tier 2, at Item Level 960.
The only requirement to obtain a Feiton Powerpass is to have a character in your roster that has previously completed the Feiton storyline. If the Glaivier isn’t your style, you may choose to use the pass on a different character.
New Skins, Mounts and PVP Activities
The trailer also showcased a few new spiffy-looking formalwear skins for the heroes of Arkesia. We will be getting vests, suits, top hats, and regal outfits in various shades of black and white.
There will also be new pets, coming in four different colors. They look like odd feline versions of the Naruni we got to play as from theArkesia Grand Prix.
Fans ofCompetitive PVPwill also get a couple of new game modes. There will be Capture Match, Defense Match, and a New Team Deathmatch. Capture Match will have you and your team try and obtain an Elysium Shard. Defense Match will have you be the defenders to protect their own Shard. The new TDM will be your usual killing romp but have buffs whenever an Elysium Shard is picked up.
Lastly, also got a sneak peek at a few seconds of Destroyer footage. The April and May updates definitely can’t come any quicker! For more of what’s coming check out theLost Ark Content Roadmap Announcedincluding the new advanced class the Destroyer for Warrior.
Lost Ark’s April Update
That was definitely a lot to look at! April’s update will definitely be a meaty one. Be sure to check back as we will be providing a lot of Glaivier content in the coming days. Watch out for the best ways to prepare as well as a deeper dive into the advanced class.
