If you have a jailbroken handset in your possession and you’re paranoid that someone might know your passcode and that they might be logging into your device when you aren’t looking, then you just might come to appreciate a newly-released and freejailbreak tweakdubbedLastUnlockby iOS developerSmokin1337.

As indicated by the screenshot example above, LastUnlock records the most recent date and time that your handset was unlocked (whether it was by you or someone else) and displays it on theLock screenwhere the ‘press Home to unlock’ or ‘swipe up to unlock’ text would typically appear.

There’s not much to the tweak itself, and it doesn’t come with any options to configure at the time of this writing. I will say that I find myself appreciating the concept behind this tweak because I’m always rather curious about when a friend or significant other who knows my credentials might be using my device when I’m not paying attention.

Then, of course, comes the more alarming circumstance: when someone you don’t know manages to guess your passcode or knows it because they’ve watched you enter it from afar. At that point, all it takes is for you to leave your handset unattended for a moment for that person to sign in and start peeking at your personal information.

LastUnlock won’t stop someone from logging into your handset, but it will make you aware of when it happens because you’ll already know when you used your device last. In a nutshell, this is perhaps the most crucial aspect of the tweak, as it just might alert you to any fishy business that you had no idea about otherwise and let you know that it’s time to change your passcode.

If you’re interested in trying LastUnlock for yourself, then you candownload it for free from Smokin1337’s repositoryin Cydia or Sileo. The tweak supports alljailbrokeniOS 11 and 12 devices.
