Konamihas announced a newSilent Hilldeveloped by Bloober Team, the studio behindSilent Hill 2 Remake. It is a remake of the first game in this iconic horror saga.
Konami’s Event Reveals More Than Expected
Konami held its own event today with a livestream mainly focused onMetal Gear Solid Delta: Snake EaterandSilent Hill f, its two major upcoming releases.
However, the Japanese company had already teased that they had a few surprises in store for the presentation—and so it was: near the end, they announced that a newSilent Hillgame is in development in collaboration with Bloober Team, the developers ofSilent Hill 2 Remake.

It was right at the end of Konami’s livestream that we saw theSilent Hilllogo appear against a neutral, fog-filled background. Alongside it, two more logos:Konami and Bloober Team, with a caption at the bottom reading “in development.”
It could have been anything, but the background music left no room for doubt: the theme from the first game in the series strongly hinted at a remake of the originalSilent Hill.

Confirmed: It’s a Remake of the First Silent Hill
Shortly afterward, the developers themselves confirmed it through various official statements and social media posts: “We are currently working with Bloober Team on a remake ofSilent Hill, which originally launched for PlayStation in 1999,” reads a tweet from the officialSilent Hillaccount. In the same post, they encourage fans to listen to the teaser with sound on.
