As reported byPEOPLE, another clip of starJeremy Renner’supcoming interview with Diane Sawyer was released this Wednesday onGood Morning America. In the new video of theHawkeyeactor’s chat with Sawyer, Renner reveals that he wrote notes on his phone as “my last words to my family” while he was in the hospital after his snowplow accident on January 1st.
TheGMAclip also revealed the 911 calls made after the snowplow accident as well as Renner stating that he most likely would have died if his nephew Alex wasn’t present.

In the clip, Renner told Sawyer, “If I was there, on my own, that would’ve been a horrible way to die. And surely, I would’ve. Surely. But I wasn’t alone — [I was with] my nephew. Sweet Alex. And the rest of the calvary came.”
After Sawyer asked Renner about his goodbye note to his family, the star became emotional as he stated, “I’m writing down notes in my phone — my last words to my family.”
The new clip also disclosed previously unheard audio from the 911 calls made after the accident happened. On the call, a voice is heard saying, “Someone’s in front of my house on the ground and got run over by a snowcat, he’s been crushed.”

They added, “Send paramedics, ambulance… Listen to me. I need — you might wanna get life flight out here immediately.” The caller also noted that Renner was in critical condition. He’s in rough shape," they said.
Previous footage of Renner’s upcoming interview with Sawyerfeatured the star’s nephew, Alex, who told the journalist that he “could just perfectly see” the Marvel star “in a pool of blood coming from his head.”
Renner’s nephew continued, becoming visibly upset as he recalled the accident, “And I ran up to him … you know, I didn’t think he was alive.”
Still, according to Renner, the star would “do it again.”
“You’d do it again? Sawyer asked the actor, who replied by saying, “Yeah, I’d do it again. ‘Cause [the snowplow] was going right at my nephew.”
Renner additionally stated that he “was awake through every moment” and can remember the pain of sustaining the injuries.
But, despite ending up with injuries that included over 30 broken bones, Renner knew he wasn’t going to give up, stating that he “chose to survive.”
He said, “You’re not gonna kill me. No way.”
The New Year’s Day accident which resulted in “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries,” in addition to the broken bones, occurred while Renner was attempting to prevent his nephew from being crushed by a snowplow.
After the accident, Renner was in “critical but stable condition” and underwent multiple surgeries due to the extent of his injuries.
