While it can only be used against mobs on the ground, it helps save the durability of your weapons by preventing the need to use them constantly. Let us take a look at the potion of strength, how to craft it and how to effectively use it.
How To Craft the Potion of Strength
In Minecraft, it is quite easy to brew potions once all the ingredients are gathered. For this potion, you would need three awkward potions, blazing powder, redstone and goldstone dust, and a brewing stand. Let’s get brewing.
Collect the potions and add them to your inventory to now be in possession of brute strength. By default, the potion will be able to provide you with three minutes of increased power.
How Does the Potion of Strength Work?
Add redstone dust:increases the duration for the strength from 3:00 to 8:00 minutes.
Add glowstone dust:increases the strength from 130% damage to 260% damage. Reduce duration from 3:00 to 1:30 minutes.
While the potion doesn’t increase the strength of damage dealt from ranged attacks such as bows or crossbows, it highly magnifies the effect of strikes done by your fists or swords. In calculation, with the level 1 potion of strength, you will deal 1.5 extra hearts of damage, and with the level 2 potion of strength, you will deal 3 extra hearts of damage.
