One of the most exciting things in racing games is sorting through all the available cars and setting them up. In JDM: Japanese Drift Master, buying cars isn’t immediately available. You have to unlock it, and here’s how to do just that.
Where to Buy Cars in JDM Japanese Drift Master
Initially, you’ll be given the most basic car to drive, the Alpha Moriyamo. You can’t immediately buy a new car, since it isn’t unlocked yet. Go through the basics or tutorial and the first couple of events from chapter one.
You’ll eventually unlock a new icon on the map. Open the map and look to the east of Haikama Lake and west of Kiwada. Look for the blue car icon, which would be the car dealership. you’re able to’t fast travel to this location, so navigate or place a waypoint on the car dealership icon.
If you are far away, you can fast travel to the nearby garage in Haikama (just south of the car dealer). Once you reach the area, park your car inside the circle and enter the car dealership.

In JDM: Japanese Drift Master, you don’t have to unlock the cars. Every car is available immediately, but you must have enough money to buy it. That’s the only restriction.
While there are so many Honda cars they could’ve added, like the Civic Type R, they still have a few classics along with one of the fastest cars in the game, the NSX NC1.
Mazda only has a few classic cars, but it arguably has its most iconic car in the game, the Miata. They even have the classic RX-7, popularized by the 2 Fast 2 Furious movie.
Nissan has the biggest selection of cars. Like the RX-7, the Nissan GT-R is one of the most iconic cars in the Fast and Furious series. There are several amazing Skylines, and they have two of the best: the 2000 GT-R and the R34.
Subaru only has a few cars, but it has legendary rally cars in the Impreza WRX STI. While these cars are more known for rallying, they are still excellent for drifting, and they look good.
Unlicensed
JDM: Japanese Drift Master has three unlicensed cars: the Yotsuhoshi Shadow, Revolution, and the starter Alpha Moriyamo. These cars are based on other iconic vehicles. The Yotsuhoshi Shadow is based on the 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT car.
The Yotsuhoshi Revolution is based on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII. Lastly, the Alpha Moriyamo is based on the Toyota AE86, popularized by the Initial D manga and anime series.
