Final Fantasy XVIis finally making its way to PC after its initial release on PS5 last year. The PC version was confirmed at an earlier date, but Square Enix has now dropped a brand new trailer showcasing the PC version in all its glory. A demo is now available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, along with the system requirements for Final Fantasy XVI.
Final Fantasy XVI PC System Requirements
These are fairly beefy requirements, especially compared to the last few Final Fantasy releases on PC. If you’re looking to play at 1080p with a 60 FPS target, you’ll need something like an RTX 2080 paired with a Ryzen 5 5700X. We’re assuming this is without any upscaling technologies enabled, which thankfully the game is fully supporting based on the demo.
Apart from that, you need a whopping 170 GB of free space, and an SSD is recommended regardless of the settings you play at. Even if you’re settling for a 720p experience, an SSD is required.

Final Fantasy XVI PC Demo
You can now download the demo for Final Fantasy XVI, test out the PC port for yourself, and see if your rig can handle the release. The demo is available on bothSteamand theEpic Games Store.
The base edition is priced at $50, which is a fairly significant cut from its original price, and you’re able to also purchase thecomplete editionfor $70, which comes with all theDLC contentand additional weapons and items, including the following:

Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store onSeptember 17, 2024.

Ali has been writing about video games for the past six years and is always on the lookout for the next indie game to obsess over and recommend to everyone in sight. When he isn’t spending an unhealthy amount of time in Slay the Spire, he’s probably trying out yet another retro-shooter or playing Dark Souls for the 50th time.
