The Legend Returns

Square Enix has been showing snippets of FF7 Rebirth since its announcement in June 2022. It will be continuing where players left off in the first part of theFinal Fantasy 7 Remake. We already know that this game is going to be a big one, with details that it will arrive ontwo discsthis time around. It’s also part of atrilogy, so part 2 won’t be the end of the saga.

The trailer gives a peek at what’s in store forCloudas well as a returning cast of characters includingRed XIII,Aeirith,Barret,Sephiroth, and some new characters come into play. It also gives a quick glimpse at some major action boss fights and dance numbers that surely will leave a lasting impression.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Alexander

On the lighter side, there are also mini-games such as Chocobo racing which didn’t make it into the first and the Gold Saucer which includes a robot beat’em up. This gives me instant visions of the MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 version of the Gold Saucer which also has Chocobo racing, hopefully just as fun in FF7.

The main Final Fantasy 7 titles haven’t been the only ones to be remade. We also got titles such asCrisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunionas a “more than” remaster. Then there were the mobile titles such as Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis and the spinoff battle royal Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier.
