Endless Dungeon, the tactical action roguelite by Amplitude Studios, has moved its release date to later this year.

Endless Dungeon Release Delayed to October

It seems like just yesterdaythat we announced that Endless Dungeon would be released on June 11, 2025 - just over a month away. However, developers Amplitude Studios have made the decision to delay the release. Instead, the roguelite will be playable on Aug 04, 2025. This will be a 5-month delay in essence.

Even the studio’s General Manager chimed in on the delay. As per Romain de Waubert:

Endless Dungeon Delayed

We’re grateful and honoured that players are looking forward to playing ENDLESS DUNGEON. The feedback we’ve received across our OpenDev sessions so far has proved to us that we truly have something special on our hands and we want to ensure we have time for the game to reach its full potential.

Players have always been at the heart of our studio’s philosophy and releasing ENDLESS DUNGEON in October will allow us the extra time to keep working with the community and polishing the game for an amazing day one experience.

Endless Perfection

Amplitude Studio took the announcement to both Twitter and their official blog. Both of the outlets relayed the same basic jist: that they want to increase the game’s polish. At the moment the product does not represent something it wants for fans. They have been able to take much feedback from the numerous Open Dev events.

They have identified three main focus points for improvingEndless Dungeon: Meta Progression, Economy, and Game Balance.

Free Skins for Characters!

The first, Meta Progression, is being improved to have less randomness to it. The current iterations have too much uncertainty when it comes to meta unlocks. Moving to player choice should make players more involved and rewarded.

Next, Economy, will come a rebalance of the game’s three main resources, namely science, food, and industry. Right now it seems that industry is the more important of the three, and thus more impactful. The game will be adjusted so that resources are overall much rarer, and thus make investments more “impactful”.

PC

Last is the game balancing. Almost all aspects of the game will get a balance pass, to make the game overall much more fun.

Endless Dungeon: Moving Forward

It’s not all doom and gloom for Endless Dungeon, though. As a bit of compensation to players, the team has created 3 cosmetic skins that they will be giving away to players, free of charge. They also commit to having a Closed Beta period for those who purchased the “Last Wish Edition” of the game. This is currently planned for September.

And lastly, the team also confirms that they have a select number of players and fans that they are working with for game balancing. They are also looking to expand the playtesters, but do not have any specifics in mind just yet.

PlayStation

Hopefully, the 5-month delay should give the team enough time to iron out the kinks and create a truly wonderful roguelite experience.
