The Action-RPG souls-like Eldest Souls has a new expansion called Depths of the Forgotten which is now available, adding 30% more content and even more brutal bosses.

Eldest Souls gets its first expansion for the soulslikeAction-RPGcalled Depths of the Forgotten, available for free. This new update adds 30% more content including a new region to explore and new bosses to best.
Depths of the Forgotten introduces a new area to explore through a new door that goes beyond the Enchanted Forest and far below the Citadel using a mysterious elevator. The toughest bosses will await in new area. Three new bosses join the Eldest Souls, the first being The Rejected Daughter, which Eksyl has locked away deep in the depths for years.

Another boss is Zylad, Lord of Steel, whose Godhood powers made him unruly, eventually banished to the Depths for stepping out of turn. Finally, King Otto who got put away by his very own saviour, and for his own amusement.
Guarding the elevator is a new NPC called the Orenai the Watcher, a character who will part with information to help you on your journey.

Also available are new weapons to unlock in the form of the Kingsguard, The Executioner, Wild Dancer and Saint’s Hand. Each has its own buff and debuff, such as The Executioner which will increase your damage output but will also come with the caveat of reduced movement plus defence. Weapons aren’t the only addition as a new shard is available which the devs have left a little mystery around as to how to obtain it.
In case you missed it Eldest Souls made it to ourTop 5 Upcoming RPGs Of July 2021. The souls-like indie follows the quest to save mankind from the Old Gods, and yes it is you who is the last hope. Eldest Souls promises fast-paced combat, its own flavour of Boss-Rush experience and some unique challenges to best. It’s all done in a 2D top-down pixel art style giving a retro feel.
