Elden Ring Enchanted Knight Build - Equipment

The equipment you’ll want for this build areCarian Glintstone StaffandCarian Knight Set. This completes the look of the Enchanted Knight, as it reminds me of the Enchanted Knight from the Closed Network Test. It also has that sort of Sorcerer Knight type feeling to it. You don’t have to use this armor if you don’t want to, you can use others which you think look better or are better than the Carian Knight Set.

I like to use theCarian Glintstone Stafffor this build, but if you have theMeteorite Staff, you may use that as well. Carian Glintstone Staff outperforms the Meteorite Staff once it hits +10. Before this point, you’re going to have the same damage as Meteorite Staff. If you don’t want to spend upgrade materials on Carian Glintstone Staff because you’ve spent it on other things, you can use the Meteorite Staff for the meantime as it’s good enough for this part of the game. You’ll want to upgrade Carian Glintstone Staff eventually.

Elden Ring Carian Slicer Build Guide Enchanted Knight

There are some ways you may get the Carian Glintstone Staff upgraded pretty quickly. You can head over to theRaya Lucaria Crystal Tunnelon the right side ofLiurnia of the Lakes. There will be a boss there which will drop a Bell Bearing that you can turn into theTwin Maiden Husks. She’ll start selling youSmithing Stone (1)and(2)for Runes. If you farm Runes by killing enemies and bosses, you can upgrade Carian Glintstone Staff up to +6. You’ll then need Smithing Stones (3) and (4) to get it to +10, which will then outpeform the Meteorite Staff.

You’ll also want to pick-up theBlue-Gold Kite Shieldwhich can be bought from theNomadic MerchantinEast Limgravefor 1,000 Runes. You’ll change your helmet out to theQueen’s Crescent Crownto increase your character’s Intelligence. It lacks defense, but you’ll get that extra Intelligence which will increase your damage. The reason I like the Blue-Gold Kite Shield is that it has 100% physical damage resistance, yet it only has a required attribute of 12 Strength to use, which we have. It has 47 Guard Boost, which is pretty decent for a 12-Strength shield. I think it’s one of the highest you may get on a shield that requires 12 Strength. It helps reduce the amount of stamina you consume when you block.

If you’re using a different staff like theDemi-Human Queen’s Staffor any other staff, like if you’re carrying over from the Spellblade build, you may stick with that if you don’t want to carry the Carian Glintstone Staff. Keep in mind, that it’ll eventually be a better staff so you might want to farm some upgrade materials to get it done with. Carian Glintstone Staff increases Sword Sorceries' damage by 15%, which will outperform most staves at this point in the game.

Elden Ring Enchanted Knight - Talismans

The three talismans I like to use for this build are:Radagon Icon,Graven-School Talisman, and theGreen Turtle Talisman.

You can find both theRadagon IconandGraven-School TalismaninRaya Lucaria Academy. These talismans shouldn’t be too hard to find, but you can find their exact locations over on the respective wiki pages of the talismans. You should have theGreen Turtle Talismanby then since you’ve finished the starting areas of the game. If you still haven’t obtained it, it’s in an underground area inSummonwater Villagewhich requires a Stonesword Key to access.

Elden Ring Carian Slicer Build Guide Enchanted Knight

Radagon Icon reduces spell casting speed, which is fantastic for this build. When you’re spammingCarian Slicer, or if you’re usingCarian Greatsword, you want to be able to attack with this as fast as you can. Graven-School Talisman boosts your sorcery damage by 4%. Your attacks are sorcery, so this is an essential talisman to have. Green Turtle Talisman will increase your stamina recovery. You’ll be consuming stamina with this build, especially with having a shield, so this might not seem like a bad idea to use.

Another good talisman to use for this build is theBlessed Dew Talisman, which gives you a +2 health regen. With magic builds, you tend to prioritize blue flasks to replenish your FP. If you’re getting hit for a little bit of damage, wasting a health flask isn’t a good idea. Letting it regen with Blessed Dew Talisman can be really helpful. It’s up to you whether or not you want to use Green Turtle Talisman or Blessed Dew Talisman, as you might want to swap these out depending on the situation.

Elden Ring Enchanted Knight - Gameplay

The way this build works is that I have the Carian Glintstone Staff on my right hand, and Blue-Gold Kite Shield on my left. I use all my spells accordingly, as it depends on the situation. There are four spells you should be using for this build. These are:Carian Slicer,Carian Piercer,Carian Greatsword, andGlintstone Pebble. Carian Piercer is located inCaria Manor, in the north section ofLiurnia of the Lakes. you’re able to find its exact location in theinteractive mapon the wiki. Carian Greatsword can be purchased from the vendor at theChurch of Vowsin Liurnia of the Lakes for 10,000 Runes.

Carian Slicerabsolutely melts enemies if you can get the drop on them. It’ll stagger a lot of enemies and bosses, which just melts the health off of enemies. It costs almost half the FP of Glintstone Pebble, at 4 FP per swing. Which means if you have 96 or 100 FP, which is what we’re going for with this build at level 50, you’re going to get 25 swings off before you need to use a flask.

Carian Greatswordcosts 16 FP, which factors nicely into our FP. You can cast Carian Greatsword four times, and one Carian Slicer, before needing to use a flask. This sorcery does more damage than Carian Slicer per swing, but it will never be able to keep up with Carian Slicer in terms of damage per second. Carian Slicer is just too fast, and it costs way less FP. You can just do way more damage with one FP bar with Carian Slicer than the damage you’re ever going to be able to do with Carian Greatsword.

Carian Greatsword has great range, which means that it’s better on horseback than Carian Slicer. It can also be great in situations where you know you can’t stagger an enemy well with Carian Slicer, or when you’re outnumbered. There’s a lot of cases where an enemy will be staggered by Carian Greatsword, but they wouldn’t be staggered by Carian Slicer. If you keep spamming Carian Greatsword fast enough, you can keep them staggered. Even though it’s not stamina efficient, you won’t die from enemies.

Carian Pierceris so mana inefficient, you’re not going to use it that often. I primarily use it for NPC invaders, as this absolutely destroys them. Their AI is really bad against this skill, so it works well against them. It can also work well on horseback sometimes. The problem with this is that the damage is very high, but it just costs so much FP. This is very situational, but you should have it there for when you need it. A situation wherein you’ll want to use Carian Piercer is when an enemy has a long reach, such as enemies with a spear-type weapon.

Glintstone Pebblegives you a range option for scenarios where you might need range. You’re not going to use it very often, maybe you have an enemy across the way, and you’re able to’t get over to them because there’s no way to get to them. Maybe an enemy has a good position above you. This way, you can take them out quickly before you attack the enemies below. This gives you some versatility, but you won’t use it very often.

Elden Ring Enchanted Knight - Attributes

For this build, we’ll have: 20Vigor, 20Mind, 14Endurance, 12Strength, 18Dexterity, 33Intelligence, 6Faith, and 9Arcane.

This build is an extremely attribute-hungry build. Not only do you need Intelligence to increase your damage, you also need to increase Mind to increase your FP pool. You’re going to need Vigor to increase your health, Endurance to increase your equip load and stamina. This is the same character I’m using for the Spellblade build, so the points will be skewed towards that.

You don’t really need Dexterity here, even though it increases cast speed. Five points in Dexterity is insignificant of an increase towards your cast speed at this point in the game, so you can probably put those points towards something else you’ll benefit from, like Endurance. You can play with the 18 Dexterity we have here, but it’s much better to have it added towards Endurance to have more stamina and also have more equip load so that you’re not fat rolling while wearing better armor.

I like having 20 Vigor at minimum at this point in the game. For Intelligence, 30 seems like a good spot. You can get away with less Intelligence, as Carian Greatsword requires 24 INT, so you could take six points out of it if you don’t mind a little damage reduction and put it into Endurance or Mind.

These attributes are flexible, but this is what it’s going to look like at level 50. From here on, you’re going to want to increase your Intelligence, Endurance, and Vigor.

Elden Ring Enchanted Knight - Final Tips

Make sure to get your thirdTalisman Pouchafter defeatingRennala Queen of the Full Moonby talking toFinger Reader EniainsideRoundtable Hold. you’re able to also find it in the Twin Maiden Husks' shop if you missed it from Enia. You will get this after acquiring twoGreat Runes.

Carian Glintstone Staffcan be located inCarian Study Hall, which is on the southeast side ofRaya Lucaria. There will be a hostile NPC which you’ll chase, then eventually find the staff lying on the ground.

Lastly, I like puttingBarricade Shieldon my shield. This allows you to reduce the stamina consumption it takes to block, and it often staggers enemies when they attack you. This is good because if you’re spamming Carian Slicer, it really drains your stamina. You’ll want to reduce your stamina consumption, which this will do.
