With the release of the newest raid inDestiny 2, Salvation’s Edge, came the release of The Final Shape’s raid weapon: Euphony, an exotic special linear fusion rifle. Salvation’s Edge isthe culmination of the entirety of the D2 loreup to this point, and it’s only appropriate that it rewards lucky Guardians with such an interesting weapon. Any Guardian searching for this gun will first have to gather a fireteam of five other Guardians, thenmake their way to the Witness' stronghold in the Pale Heart to begin the fight.

Euphony is an interesting rifle, and has some powerful implications for any Strand-loving players. Its exotic perk,Unwound, spawns Threadlings at enemy locations after dealing sustained damageto an enemy. Its intrinsic,Spindle, increases the gun’s damage as Threadlings deal damage. These two perks mean that any Threadling builds will benefit from this awesome weapon, but players will have to obtain it first.

This Destiny 2 classic returns in its final exotic form in The Final Shape. Here’s every step to complete to earn the original auto rifle.

How to Unlock Euphony in Destiny 2: The Final Shape

As mentioned above, players will need to complete Salvation’s Edge andbeat the Witnessbefore they’re able to get Euphony, but its drop chance is pretty low. The only way to increase this chance is bycompleting each encounter’s triumph, which differs from encounter to encounter.

These challenges provide an extra layer of difficulty to the raid, and any team trying to complete them will have to bring their A-game to each fight. Here is each encounter triumph that increases Euphony drop chances for the Salvation’s Edge raid:

Changing Tactics

In Dissipation, complete the encounter while only using Resonance from alternate wings to charge conductors.

Singular Torment

In Repository, complete the encounter with only one player killing Tormentors.

Equal Distribution

In Verity, complete the encounter without depositing on the same statue twice in a row.

Careful Calculation

In Zenith, complete the encounter without any player exceeding two stacks of resonant energy.

Note that many of these triumphs have no description, and this is because these are “Challenge Triumphs.“Challenge Triumphs are a bit trickier than regular triumphs, but provide extra loot if you do them successfully. This means that you’ll get either an extra chest or adept loot at the end of any encounter in which you complete the challenge alongside the increased Euphony drop chance.

Best Euphony Builds

Euphony is a Strand weapon, and its best synergies will come by running this subclass. That being said, it’s definitely going to be more powerful in some classes than others. For instance,Warlock gets the most use out of Threadlingsand Titan gets the least, so Warlocks will be able to take advantage of this weapon’s perk more. Here are the recommended builds for each class using Euphony:

Exotic Armor

Swarmers

Warlock is by far the best class to be running with Euphony.MindspunInvocationandWeaver’s Callallow you toperch and then send out up to eight Threadlingsby consuming your grenade and then casting your class ability. Each of your Fragments works toincrease the number of Threadlings you generate as well as how far they can move, making Euphony’s “Spindle” trait really ramp up your damage quickly.

Swarmers allow you to get Threadlings by destroying Tangles while also causing Threadlings to unravel targets. Unraveled enemies turn into a Tangle when they die, spawning more Threadlings.

Balance of Power

The theory behind this Hunter build is tothrow two grenades, dodge, and then shoot. Both your grenades as well asThreaded Spectrewill generate Threadlings, and Balance of Power will increase the number of Threadlings it can throw off. As with Warlock, the Fragments you use willrefund ability energy and give you more powerful Threadlings, so as long as you space out your abilities and maintain enough ammo, this build should work pretty well to make Euphony quite a threat.

Armamentarium

Finally, Titans come last in power when it comes to Euphony builds. If you find yourself trying this build and not having fun, check out theHazardous Propulsion Titan chestpiece. Titans get very little use out of Threadlings, but this build should serve pretty well in neutral content.

Using the same Fragment setup as the other two classes, you’llgenerate a respectable amount of Threadlings that will allow you to keep your Banner of War going. This build provides survivability and modest damage but doesn’t hold a candle to what Warlocks can do with Euphony inDestiny 2.
