Being an integral part of the Justice League both in live-action as well as animated projects, the character of Wonder Woman is truly iconic and unique. However, a fan theory says that Diana Prince is not the first Wonder Woman of the DCAU!
Diana Prince Was Not The First Wonder Woman In The DCAU!
Well, people may remember how there were multiple carriers of Ghost Rider, and the spirit passed on down to the next. It seems that Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman in the DCAU and the comics might have undergone something like that.
In an episode ofJustice League(the animated series) titled“Secret Origins”,Diana Prince picks up the armor of Wonder Woman and goes off to save the world from White Martians, something different from whatGal Gadotdoes in the 2017 filmWonder Woman. Although this was the first time the animated world was introduced to the character of Wonder Woman (in 2001), a secret hides in plain sight in a 1996 animated show from the DCAU that might hint at another Wonder Woman!

Keep in mind that Wonder Woman was introduced in 2001, so how did Lois Lane get to know about Wonder Woman? Well, the answer’s simple really. Either it was a simple nod and a reference to the DC Comics at that time or… there was another Wonder Woman on the loose before Diana Prince!

And so, here we come to the main part of the theory. The reason why Ghost Rider was mentioned in the above texts is the same reason why Diana’s mother Hippolyta might have been the original Wonder Woman!

So all things considered, it could be very well a possibility that Diana Prince wasn’t the first Wonder Woman in the DC Animated Universe.
