Daredevil: Born AgainSeason 2 has wrapped filming, and several members of the production have taken the time to share their heartfelt gratitude for the production on social media. The series had been filmed, among other places, on location in New York, with set photos teasing things like Daredevil’s new suit, andthe appearance of another Defender making the transition from Netflix to Disney+. To celebrate wrapping production on the second season, Vincent D’Onofrio took to social media to share his excitement with the fans about the next batch of episodes, which will undoubtedly pit Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk against each other in an exciting climactic battle.

In a post on X, D’Onofrio would share a photo of himself in character as Wilson Fisk, announcing that he had wrapped filming on the show. The actor would say in the caption of the tweet (which can be viewed below) that he is looking forward to fans experiencing the next season ofBorn Again. Season 1 of the series ended on a dark note, with D’Onofrio’s Kingpin at the height of his mayoral powers, using his reach and influence to lock down New York City, while also declaring martial law.

Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio offered a small hint of what’s to come in the next season of the Disney+ MCU series.

Most ofDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 1 had D’Onofrio playing a much more reserved and subtle version of Wilson Fisk, as the character was clearly trying to hold back his darker impulses. However, all that changed in the last couple of episodes of the series, with Fisk growing more manic and eventually reverting to the Kingpin viewers were familiar with in the Netflix series. So, we should expect a much more intense performance from D’Onofrio in Season 2 as a fully-realized Kingpin at the height of his powers.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Is Set to be an Exciting Climax

Vincent D’onofrio’s journey to reprising his role as Fisk is as interesting asCharlie Cox’s reintroduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)as Daredevil. The character first made his return in theHawkeyelimited series on Disney+, where he is revealed to be as the main antagonist pulling the strings behind the scenes. It was inHawkeyethat he would be seemingly killed by Maya Lopez AKA Echo (Alaqua Cox), whom he had apparently been a parental figure to over the years.

Maya received her own spinoff series,Echo, in which D’Onofrio would again play a supporting role. It’s revealed that he survived the gunshot and went on to seek vengeance, though Maya seemingly rehabilitated Fisk and discouraged his violent tendencies. This is the state that he is in at the start ofDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 1, though it wouldn’t take long before Fisk gave in to his violent nature once more.

It will be exciting to see if Fisk survives the events ofBorn AgainSeason 2, as much of the series up to this point has been building to what feels like a final conflict between him and Matt Murdock. Both characters have been locked in this struggle for three seasons' worth of episodes, with Daredevil refusing to take his life each time he beats him. The stakes have never been higher, and fans can take comfort that D’Onofrio will continue to do the character justice with another visceral performance in the upcoming second season of the series.
