A photo from the set ofDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 2 has revealed an unexpected new look for one of the show’s fan-favorite characters. The image comes straight from the New York City set, where the cast and crew of the MCU series are currently gathered to film their sophomore season. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock has already been snapped wearing what appears to bean upgraded superhero suit, but fans might mistakeDeborah Ann Wollfor someone else entirely, as the latest picture reveals a radical transformation for her next outing as Karen Page.
The image caused quite a stir when it surfaced on X/Twitter, courtesy of Hollywood Handle’s Chris Gallardo, as some people didn’t initially recognize the actress, given the notable change in her appearance. The clearest photo of Ann Woll (seen below) is one that captures her looking toward the camera, but there is a striking difference about her. She has swapped her usual sleek blonde locks for a vibrant red hairdo with long bangs, which is a new look that we now know she will be sporting for at least some part of Season 2.

One possible explanation for Karen Page’s trip to the salon is that she might be going undercover as a fugitive, using the red hair as a way to disguise her true identity. Previous photos from the set ofDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 2 seemed to suggest that Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) would betaking drastic measures to “protect” the cityfrom masked vigilantes and, considering Karen’s close association with Daredevil, she would likely also have to go on the run from the Anti-Vigilante Task Force to avoid being used as a pawn in Kingpin’s game.

Karen Page’s Time in the MCU Is Far From Over
Deborah Ann Woll was already confirmed to appear inDaredevil: Born AgainSeason 2 before the set photos started to leak online. However, those hoping that she will have a bigger part to play in the MCU’s future might be in luck. Showrunner Dario Scardapane recently spoke about Ann Woll’s “limited presence” as Karen Page in the currentDaredevilseries, hinting that “there are things to be revealed"either in the upcoming episodes or the second season. Further to that, Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum asserted that he couldn’t imagine “a Matt Murdock story” without her character in the mix.
The actress, who famously portrayed Karen in all three seasons of the originalDaredevilrun on Netflix as well as several other entries in The Defenders Saga, previouslyexpressed her joy at being back in the fold againalongside Cox’s Matt Murdock and Elden Henson’s Franklin “Foggy” Nelson. So far, though, she has only appeared in the first episode ofDaredevil: Born Again, where it was established that she had left New York City to start a new life in San Francisco, but there is a good chance that she will be drawn back to Hell’s Kitchen by the end of the season, presumably to lay the groundwork for her upcoming escapades in Season 2.
