Dermot Mulroney Wants to Compete Against Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross

Dermot Mulroneyis no stranger to the superhero world. He is known for voicing Hal Jordan/ Green Lantern inThe Batmananimated series. He came back into the genre with 2023’sSecret Invasion, where he portrayed President Ritson. The show showed the socio-political dilemmas of alien life on Earth, and he nearly faced death due to his stance on the matter.

It was announced that Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross would be the new president (maybe Ritson would not get re-elected after his incompetency inSecret Invasion). Mulroney talked toComicbook.comabout his desire for his character to fight against Ross for the presidency and wanting Kevin Feige to consider this scenario. He said,

Anthony Mackie will lead the upcoming MCU film Captain America: Brave New World

“Now, we’re talking, that’s the kind of spin-off thinking. Yes, the answer is a hard yes. “Call Kevin Feige right now. You have his number right? Because, I don’t and let him know that I’ll be running against Thaddeus. What’s his freaking name? I don’t know. Now, you think they tell me anything? They don’t!”

This would be a nice political dynamic that would be interesting to witness in a Captain America film. It remains to be seen whether Mulroney’s Ritson fights back against Thaddeus Ross or if there is any future for the character in the MCU.
