Don’t worry! It’s coming.Batman: Arkham Knightdebuted the 2008 Batmobile DLC yesterday. And fans were disappointed to see it missing one key element. While the DLC pack did include the fan favorite Tumblr introduced inChristopher Nolan’s blockbuster superhero epicThe Dark Knightalong with two musical tracks themed after the director’s trilogy, there was no skin based onChristian Bale’s Batsuit from the movie. That’s going to change very soon, though.
Game director Sefton Hill has revealed that fan demand is so high for a skin based onChristian Bale’s Batsuit that they are going to work on it right now. Though, don’t sit waiting with baited breath. These additions take time. We probably won’t see the skin introduced until Christmas or even early winter. Sefton Hill had this to say on hisPersonal Twitter.
“We’ve had a lot of requests for the batsuit to go with the Tumbler. We hear you so we’re going to make it happen. Warning: the suits take a very long time to build because of the insane amount of detail. Expect it near the end of the year…Would you prefer to see (Batman) Begins or The Dark Knight batsuit? Let us know!”
That’s an interesting question for fans.Christian Bale’s Batsuit famously went through many changes throughout the entire trilogy, starting withBatman Beginsin 2005, and continuing in 2008’sThe Dark Knightand 2012’sThe Dark Knight Rises. Most notably, the restrictions in the head and neck area were lessened, allowing for better mobility and fighting prowess. The notion that the neck was more flexible and moveable was somethingChristopher Nolanwrote into the script. It will be interesting to see if both suits actually get made, and if you’ll be better able to move your avatar once he’s firmly placed insideThe Dark Knightversion of the suit.
