The two testing phases of the BG3 official mod support program started with theclosed alpha on June 3as Larian Studios has invited mod authors to partake. Over this period, it will invite more mod authors to create and transferexisting modswith the BG3 toolkit to test it out. Unless you’re a BG3 mod creator you won’t be able to access the closed alpha.
Then in September, Patch 7 will be released with the official mod support with the program calledmod.io. This program will allow modding to support all platforms that BG3 can run on, so even console players can try out mods.
It’ll release first on PC, butshortly after Mac players and console players (PlayStation and Xbox) will gain accessto mod.io. Now console players can access incredible mods such as the plethora ofcharacter creation modsalready available.
