Ted Lassostarted out as a crazy idea that some folks out there didn’t think would work out. Fortunately forApple TV+and the creative team behind the series, that did not turn out to be the case. The comedy series has become one of the bright spots for Apple’s streaming service, and now it has some awards nominations to show off.
As reported on Tuesday byDeadline, the comedy series from Apple TV+ has been nominated for three Critics Choice Awards. Those include best comedy series, best supporting actress in a comedy series, and best actor in a comedy series. However, whileTed Lassois a fantastic series, it is up against some stiff competition.

In this writer’s opinion, both Waddingham and Lasso should absolutely win for their respective nominations. Those awards should be a shoe-in, because they did a phenomenal job in their roles. That isn’t to say the other nominations weren’t also great (they were!), butTed Lassoreally stands out in all the ways it should. And, for that reason, the show itself should win this year, too.
But, we’ll have to wait and see what happens as far as that goes. The winners will be announced on June 06, 2025.
