NYT now runs Wordle under a new URL... is fixing user stats

Wordle, the online word puzzle that has exploded in popularity across the world, is now officially owned and run by The New York Times. Its creator, Josh Wardle, sold it a few weeks ago. As a result, you can now access it at a new URL:https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html. Although Wardle promised streaks, percentages, and guess distributions would be preserved with the sale and transition to The New York Times, many usershave reported issues. In fact, Pocket-lint reporters noticed their game streaks now showed as “1” even though they had won several games in a row, meaning there clearly is a problem with how player statistics are being transferred from the old version to the new....

Our folding phone-filled future is so close to reality, and yet so far away

Over the years, there have been a number of enticing smartphone hardware gimmicks that have come and gone. Secondary ticker displays, modular accessory systems, motorized camera lenses, and more – every fun idea is met with hype, only to then fall by the wayside not long after. In many ways, I have come to the conclusion that the tried-and-truecandy bar-style form factoris the ultimate form of pocketable computer. Whenbook-style foldable phonesfirst hit the scene in 2019, I was pretty skeptical about the product category as a whole....

Review: Hauntii

Just as they were during last Summer’s Day of the Devs presentation a little under a year ago,my thoughtson what isHauntii’s most captivating and thus best asset is its ability to so seamlessly shift in depth. Is it merely 2D or 2.5D? Is the layout one of merely scrolling through a sectioned-off area or are we venturing into more isometric layouts? Being from an art background myself,Hauntii’shand-sketched characters, geometric abstract surroundings and knowledge too of the effect the concept of negative space can bring,Hauntii’svisual style was always going to be a personal draw....
